Moreover, the influence of biological and physiological factors on these Doppler values has also been considered in addition to those of disease and therapy. The result is an impressive record of the many applications of trans� cranial Doppler sonography during childhood. It is not difficult to predict that this methodology will be of lasting value and capable of further de� velopment. Seeing Stars

This is a great intro book to a very complex subject. I've read a few others on how astrology influences events on Earth, and each book adds something new. As an updated version of a book previously published, it is interesting to see how her predictions came to fruition. It will be even more interesting to see how what she predicts for the next 10 years comes to pass.

The author not only discusses how planetary positions within the zodiac signs affect wars, conflicts and financial markets, but also shows how sun spot activity and eclipses have an influence.

I would have given the book 5 stars if she had shown charts of the planetary configurations to illustrate the predictions. The book is very easy to read, even for anyone without any previous knowledge of astrology.

Interesting Subject

By an astonishingly interesting writer. I have taken some courses from Christeen Skinner where I have always been impressed by her knowledge. I don't know a lot about astrology, but Christeen does, and she has the knack of passing on her knowledge. Financial astrology is extremely interesting and Christeen knows her subject. I have not finished the book; not the type of book you want to rush through....but I have gained a lot of knowledge.

About the Author
Born in Osaka, Japan in 1948. Mr. Hino is not only a renowned master of Japanese Budo (martial arts) but also a director, instructor, professional jazz drummer, lecturer, and author. His incredible physical ability was first realized when he became a self-taught gymnast in junior high school. He was soon selected as one of the Tokyo Olympic qualifiers for the intensive training camp. As a professional jazz drummer, he collaborated with many internationally acclaimed Japanese artists in the '70s and '80s. When he turned 30, he founded the Hino Budo institute and started to build his own dojo (training place), which took 10 years to complete, in Kumano, Wakayama. He formed the basis of "Hino Method" through his rigorous training there. It aimed for the highly efficient way of using the body without relying on the muscle power. Mr. Hino and his unique method have been featured in both national and international mass media (TV, movie, radio, magazine, newspaper, video, DVD, etc.) numerous times. His theory of the human body has been resonating with people from all walks of life, including martial artists, athletes, dancers, actors, doctors, teachers, therapists, scientists, etc. Since 2005, Mr. Hino has been yearly invited by William Forsythe to teach the members of the Forsythe Company in Frankfurt, Germany. He has also given many workshops and seminars in Europe (Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Sweden) and North America (Canada).

Sensei Akira Hino has given us a fantastic insight into the world of Budo from his perspective and through the eyes of those he has studied with. For example, Soke Hatsumi. (Bujinkan Grand Master)
This is an incredibly inspirational book worthy of any martial artist who wishes to take his or her art to a new and special place.
A totally enjoyable read with plenty of insights.

EXCELLENT BOOK , THIS book give me the insight and emotion to a person who close enough to a individual who life is dedicated to the art of NINJUTSU and the meaning of BUDO. I like when the author tell you point blank BUDO IS NOT FOR EVERYONE, but for some it become a part of you.

this was great read it shows that there are some teachers still giving hatsumi sensei props he deserves

as far as the ninjutsu goes peope have got to stop looking at the bujinkan as the be all end all
it was part of the ninja tradition at one time and has some of that in it but there so many clans there are many different secrets and ideas for these schools living or not.

but back to what this was about the budo aspect of it shows that what hatsumi does have to offer is legit and as i said to offer it will always be difficult to know just exactly what he has to offer on purpose or not.

a school worth learning like ANY other ART and i mean ART(paint,music whatever) you will get out what you put in.
like, i can teach many how to shoot pics or play music but its up to them to put in the time and money required to get better and even decide if this particular FORM of art is even for them.

some times no matter who the teacher sometimes that art might not be for them. maybe the time in there life ,lack of physical skill ,or even not something like not being matured enuff all can factor in...

this is whats missing in manys explanations and i just broke it down easy

Ce livre a lui seul devrait suffir pour traduire en justice Duvalier, ses assassins et ses militaires tonton macoutes, responsables non seulement de la souffrance et de la disparition de milliers d'haitiens innocents, mais aussi de la perte de tous les cerveaux et intellectuels Haitiens qui auraient permis a ce pays d'avancer au lieu de reculer sans cesse comme nous le faisons depuis plus de 50 ans.
Desole Mr Lemoine pour tout ce que vous avez endure, mais tout Haitien aujourd'hui devrait lire votre livre. Bravo pour votre grand Courage et Merci pour ce dechirant temoignage!!

WOW! Great book, captivating, depicts a harsh reality that many had to endure, under this despotic regime. Haiti changed a lot since the days of Duvalier and Fort-Dimanche. Nonetheless, If you want a harsh reminder of the atrocities that were perpetrated, the lives and families ruined by Duvalier's dictatorship, I encourage you to read this book.

Must have for keys to a raising a great dog!!

I've read many books on dog training and puppy raising, but this is one of the best! As one of the few board certified Vet/Behaviorists in the US Dr Yin brings good science and not the myths found in so many books on dogs. I teach pet dog classes and help train service dogs and recommend this book to all my clients. In addition to great information Dr Yin's book is very well illustrated.

Pretty good, quick to read puppy book

I have several books about raising puppies and they all emphasize different things. This book is handy because it is a quick read and has a lot of pictures which can help you better understand the techniques suggested in the book. For really understanding the principles behind positive reinforcement training and why it is the more effective dog training technique, this book lacks a little bit in that area. It is also not quite as detailed as other puppy books out there. However if you want a good, basic book to help you get started with your new puppy, this is a pretty good buy. Just to mention, though the title says that you can have the perfect puppy in 7 days, be clear that the first 7 days are a mere foundation and obviously raising a puppy really takes work all the way until they are finished with adolescence (which can be 1 to 2 years), and their whole lives if you want to maintain that good behavior. Remember a puppy is a lifetime commitment so if working with a puppy actively for a year (and maintaining it for their life) sounds like too much work, you probably shouldn't be getting one.

Good first puppy training book

This was my first puppy training book. It was pretty helpful,especially the pictures. The only advice that wasn't realistic was to tether your tog to you for the first week. After I discovered all of the amazing dog training videos on YouTube, this book wound up sitting on the shelf unfortunately.

Don't bother. Online travel forums would be a much better choice.

I've been waiting for months for this book in preparation for my second trip to Myanmar (scheduled for later this year), but only minutes after I received and opened it I saw it was a huge letdown. For my first trip in October 2013 I bought the Lonely Planet 2011 version, which was basically the only guidebook available and which was already hopelessly out of date by then; I realize a newer version has been published but since I always prefer RG to LP guides, I chose RG this time. Unfortunately, it turns out to be not perceptibly more updated than the 2011 LP, and offers precious little more information (with Tanintharyi Region, which has recently and slowly been opened up, being the one notable exception), insight, or new listings. In fact, entire areas that were at least tentatively covered by the 2011 LP and that have since become accessible for foreign travelers (Chin State, for example) are not even mentioned in this book. So it's money wasted as far as I'm concerned, and I will have to stick to the online forums and a couple of useful websites I've found after all.

I have used the newly-issued guidebook extensively in arranging a trip to Myanmar that I will be making in Dec. 2015. My only criticism, which I hope is constructive, is that the guidebook does not mention any of the travel agencies that have offices in Myanmar (or in Bangkok), but is rather confined to U.K. and other overseas agencies. I know from repeated experience that it is typically possible to save 25 percent or more by booking directly with a firm that is located in or very close to the country one is visiting
